I once mentioned this to the Senior Database Manager at a company who supposedly had decades of experience. He laughed at me, shook his head annoyed and rudely said, "no why would it include the clustered indexing key automatically". I just walked away in order to avoid an argument. He wasnt my boss but my boss was almost as clueless. As a database developer almost all my bosses were just administrative positions who just set up meetings, did reviews, rambled a lot about obvious things , but didnt actually do any work. I really wish I had a boss like you who knew what he was talking about and I could learn from.

Say you buy an account or business application (eg: Quick Books, PCLaw, etc...) that uses SQL Server 2017/2019/2022, you install the client side on 20 to 50 users workstation. - how can you look at the SQL Server to see if: a. The SQL Server needs more RAM, CPU or IOP's ? b. The SQL Server needs a faster network connection? c. The Client Application is the problem they maybe facing ?

Can you also show us the SQL Server counters if that same or somewhat modify SQL-script would run from 3 to 5 computers connect to that sql server ?

What if error log size is 10+gb. We are recycle error log everyday but one login failure repeating filling up 5gb space. I don't want to read that error into temp table.
